Very stylish Mid-Century peanut set in pretty pastel colors made by Royal Gouda Pottery. The pottery was founded in 1898 by Adrianus Jonker. In 1930 the pottery got the predicate Royal. In 1915 during World Exhibition in San Francisco, Gouda Plateelbakkerij or Pottery exhibited in the “Palace of Varied Industries”. After the successful exhibition some pottery works were bought by an American entrepreneur Edmond Torlotting. He had a showroom in New York and sold the pottery as Gouda Ware (Matte Plateel) with success.
In 1965 the pottery closed.
