Beautiful folk art viking ship, made by a craftsman at home or maybe as a school project somewhere around the 1960s or 1970s. Wonderfully detailed, but naive and rough at the same time – this viking ship is a quintessential piece of folk art. Please note the use of expressive pine and the detailed pieces of the sail construction. It must have been a work of labour and love to make this. Now it is older this is a wonderful decorative piece of folk art which will look great on a sideboard, a desk or at the window.
The ship comes in a very honest original condition with some wear and minor losses which only add to the charm.
