Exceptional vintage Japanese silver mounted cloisonne vase decorated with veiltail gold-fish and carp swimming amidst pond weed and dating around around 1947. This beautifully made vase portrays three gold-fish swimming amidst weed in orange and grey colors with green weed and set against a red enamel patterned ground. To the back of the vase outlines of two carp and further weed can be seen within the red enamels. The vase has a silver rim to the top and foot and is marked CPO (Central Purchasing Agency) to the lower silver rim.
