Hand painted abstract expressionism calligraphy Asian folding screen, in the manner of Robert Motherwell, Sofu Teshigahara, et al, believed to be Japanese, circa 1950s. This piece is a large and impressive size, when fully extended flat, it measures 135′ width x 70″ height. The width as shown in the first photo, folded at angles, is 94″. The front side is constructed of a hand painted paper or fabric, and the back side is a gold color patterned paper or fabric.
