This is a small wooden table made from the Meiji period to the Taisho period (1868-1920).
The wood material is cedar.
This is finished by pasting washi paper on top and applying persimmon tannin.
I don’t know why they put paper on it to cover it all.
I have dealt with a similar table once before.
And I was able to meet a similar type of table for the first time in a while.
Although it is small, it is a low table with a very strong presence.
It will be useful as a side table or a stand to place your collection.
The condition of this item is
There is a tear in the paper at the base of the leg.
Also, the paper on the back side is bent.
However, it can be used as a table without any problems.
Please be careful as it is not water repellent, so spilling liquid on it will stain it.
Tables like this with paper pasted on them are very rare.
This is an item that gives you a sense of wabi-sabi.
Highly recommended.
Also, I want many people to know the goodness of antiques, so I set the price reasonably.
