Mushroom Table Lamp, 1960s

Ixo in the late 60s. Ixo was a brand of industrias quel, s.a., a company with headquarters in valencia (spain) famous for its designs.

this small lamp brings together all the characteristics of the “pop art” movement, which began in the united kingdom and the usa. In the 1960s:

• vibrant red color
• imitation of famous designs of the early twentieth century produced in mass and with affordable materials.

the lamp has a “tulip” beige plastic base and a red sphere screen imitating a mushroom.
