Vintage English Milk Opaline Glass Pendants, 1930s, Set of 2

– A fabulous pair of original church opaline glass pendant lights with patinated copper galleries, circa 1930.
– Wear commensurate with age, all in a good condition, the copper galleries are aged worn.
– Height 36cm, Width 30cm, Depth 30cm.
– Rewired with braided flex and PAT tested.

Opaline Glass Opaline is a form of decorative glassware which was made throughout the 19th century, manufacture was predominantly French, although it was inspired by Venetian Milk Glass, and White Glass produced in Bristol. The popularity of Opaline glass began during the reign of Napoleon and various locations across in England were involved in their production. The opaline glass is characterised by a bright white colour, the high lead content defined it as crystal like, giving it jewel-like qualities across its appearance.
